Starting on October 27, 2013, the Misfit Shine will be available through Best Buy stores and at BestBuy.com. The crowdfunded activity tracker was previously available through Misfit Wearables’s web site and at Apple stores.
The Shine will join an ever-growing list of crowdfunded hardware projects available on retail shelves around the world, including the Ouya game console and Pebble watch.

Misfit Wearables crowdfunded on Indiegogo, having raised over $800,000. The campaign wasn’t without its fair share of hiccups, though. In May the team announced they were pulling support for Android devices, causing some early backers to criticize the outfit and request refunds.
Best Buy shoppers will have a choice of a multitude of colors, including two that are specific to Best Buy: Topaz and Champagne.
