Crowdfunding on Indiegogo, this team of five young entrepreneurs from Denmark have created a small device to allow you to stream any content from your computer to TV – wirelessly. Frustrated with the jumble of cables and adapters necessary to truly use a TV as a second screen Airtame has finally solved with dilemma. They just need a bit more funding to bring their working prototype to mass production. To achieve this task they have set a goal of raising $160,000 on Indiegogo and they quickly zoomed to over $97,000 in their first few days with over 1000 backers supporting this campaign.
“Our approach has been clear from the beginning: We want to make a wireless HDMI cable,” says co- founder Brian Kyed. “We believe that everyone should be able to connect to the TV in the living room or the projector in the conference room – wirelessly,” says Brian and continues, “Therefore AIRTAME works with both Mac, Windows and Linux – so no one is left to use screen cables anymore.”
Anyone who has ever struggled with a presentation because of missing adapters or cables; Or anyone who just wanted to share their screen with a group of people – will quickly see the practicality in this device.
Plug Airtame into your TV and start streaming both images and sound from your computer – without the use of any cables. Airtame uses Wi-Fi, therefore you don’t need to plug anything into your computer. All you need to do is install the Airtame application. Also – instead of patenting the technology Airtame has made everything open source.
