IgnitionDeck To Add Feature Allowing Kickstarter Grads To Continue Crowdfunding

ignitiondeck-logoIgnitionDeck is an increasingly-popular WordPress plugin aimed at powering crowdfunding campaigns. For prices starting at $79, crowdfunders can buy a license for IgnitionDeck and crowdfund on their own WordPress-powered standalone web site, skipping the traditional success fees of popular crowdfunding platforms like Kickstarter. IgnitionDeck is the plugin behind the currently-running Star Citizen campaign, so it has been used to raise some serious cash.

For crowdfunders that have already raised money via Kickstarter, a new feature to be added by the IgnitionDeck teama hopes to pick up where Kickstarter left off in terms of funding. A “Kickstarter Import” will be available for purchase soon that allows crowdfunders to perform a couple of mission-critical functions.

If a project creator has concurrent IgnitionDeck and Kickstarter campaigns, the plugin will update Kickstarter information hourly so that the IgnitionDeck campaign will correctly reflect the total from both campaigns. If the project creator has already completed a Kickstarter campaign and wants to continue crowdfunding on IgnitionDeck, a one-time import from Kickstarter will aggregate information from that platform and correctly represent the totals in the new, “endless” campaign.

Quickly transfer raw Kickstarter campaign data into your new IgnitionDeck project to continue where your Kickstarter campaign left off. Also updates hourly so you can combine Kickstarter totals with IgnitionDeck totals using simultaneous campaigns.

At the time of writing pricing hasn’t been established quite yet, but this feature should be available for purchase soon through the IgnitionDeck web site. It will join available extensions for everything from payment providers like WePay and Braintree to integration with Constant Contact and Mixpanel analytics.
