After Crowdfunding Success, Lumo BodyTech Giving Back To Charities

LumoLift_set1-1What do you do when you’ve raised almost $500,000 on a goal of just $200,000? Lumo BodyTech wants to pay it forward to a few of their favorite charities.

A self-hosted crowdfunding campaign for the Lumo Lift launched earlier this month amidst the Consumer Electronics Show madness. The Lift was poised for success thanks to Lumo’s prior experience with crowdfunding. They know the space well, and their first campaign for the Lumoback Smart Posture Sensor doubled a $100,000 goal.

In recognition of their latest accomplishment, the Lumo team has created a special clasp for the Lumo Lift, and when backers opt for this clasp 100% of the proceeds will go to three charities chosen as “favorites” by Lumo team members. They are the Avon Foundation, the Michael J. Fox Foundation, and the American Cancer Society.

The special edition clasps are color-coded to represent their respective charities, too.

With 19 days left to go the Lumo Lift has secured $480,000 in funding over 6,000 backers. The campaign will end on February 8th, 2014.
