Shroud of the Avatar raised almost $2 million on Kickstarter in a campaign that ended in April of 2013, but that didn’t mark the end of the crowdfunding process. The game’s creators took the same approach that Star Citizen has taken, using Kickstarter as a launchpad for an ongoing crowdfunding effort.
What has that done for the game’s developers? According to Games.on.net, March 2014 was the most successful month of crowdfunding for the game since the Kickstarter campaign. That’s 11 months later. They raised over $300,000 last month.
