Indiegogo Hits Toronto for International Film Festival

TIFFlogoIndiegogo is doing their annual pilgrimage up north to Canada hitting the streets of Canada’s largest city for the Toronto International Film Festival or TIFF. As the cottagers slip back into their Fall routines one thing they may look forward to are the cool films at the Fest starting this week.  The 11 day “whirlwind” has it all, stars, creative types, red carpet events, parties and over 300 films from around the world.  Indiegogo states they will have the most crowdfunded films showing at this year’s TIFF.

Of course you are invited too.  Indiegogo has scheduled some time so you may chat up John Trigonis about crowdfunding and Film.  They will also be holding an Indiegogo Happy Hour on Monday.  You can see their scheduled Indiegogo related TIFF events below.

We’re hosting an Indiegogo best practice session around a campaign’s perks, pitch, and promotion.  You’ll meet Ayah Norris, Canada Film + Creative Lead,  and John T. Trigonis, our film campaign specialist, who literally wrote the book on Crowdfunding for Filmmakers and has advised thousands of film and video campaigns.

What’s Up With All These Multimedia Corporations Investing In Content?!?! Wednesday, September 10 from 2:00pm – 3:00pm. This TIFF panel, featuring Indiegogo’s Head of Film, Marc Hofstatter, will examine how the international business and creative climate has ripened for strategic partnerships between content, technology, entertainment, and investment – evidenced by the many large multimedia companies that are now either commissioning original content and/or investing in media and entertainment.
