The Bullet Journal has the ability to become anything the user needs it to be. It is for the list-makers, the note-takers, the Post-It note pilots, the track-keepers, and the dabbling doodlers. Furthermore, the Bullet Journal is for those who feel there are few platforms as powerful as the blank paper page. It’s an analog system for the digital age that will help the user organize the present, record the past, and plan for the future.

Bullet Journal, also known as a method called “Rapid Logging,” allows the user to quickly capture and parse all the different types of data we’re trying to digest on a daily basis. It is noted as a “technique that provides insights that can help you identify what’s important and weed out the things that aren’t.”

The campaign’s organizers stated, “Bulletjournal.com was launched just over a year ago to make this system freely availalbe to all. It’s since been featured on Lifehack.org, Lifehacker.com, and Fast Company. The original tutorial video (above) has been viewed over half a million times, and unique communities have sprung up all over the Internet, communities that create and share their own mods and methods. When it comes to being more productive, the Bullet Journal has already proven itself to be an invaluable tool for many.”

Bullet Journal 1Also explaining why they turned to Kickstarter for funding help, the team noted, “From organizing to-do lists, managing schedules and meetings, tracking health and fitness goals, and everything in between, the Bullet Jouranl has the amazing ability to organize a very diverse range of data. ‘Bulletjournalists” are creating new and incredibly valuable tools for tackling everyday organizational challenges. These ideas could be helping significantly more people, but instead they’re getting lost online.”

This Kickstarter campaign will fund development of the next version of bulljournal.com: a stronger, smarter, more intuitive platform will make it easy for users to find and contribute new methods to make the Bullet Journal system even more useful and effective. The new site will service as a free library for the ever-growing catalog of productivity method. The revamped site will also feature fresh tutorial videos, reviews, resources and so much more!”

Bullet Journal 2In regards about risks and challenges, the team added, “The development of the new site will be collaborative with the backers. Locking down the first set of features for the new bulletjournal.com is the initial goal: based on the number of features, we can then establish a timeline. Sometimes certain features prove more difficult or time consuming than anticipated, which may impact the delivery. In this case, we will choose to either roll out promised features at a later date, or push back the launch.”

“The journals are being fabricated by a third party. In the case these journals will not be delivered on time, backers will be notified.”

The campaign is set to close on October 15th.
