Kickstarter Alum KUNG FURY Debuts on YouTube (Video)

Back in 2013, 1980’s inspired KUNG FURY surfaced on crowdfunding platform Kickstarter with a mission to raise $200,000. During its run, the campaign raised $630,019 from 17,713 backers. Now, those wanting to watch the film over and over again can for free through YouTube!

kung-furyAs previously reportedKUNG FURY is part comedy, part action and – from the looks of the trailer – completely hilarious. The film is an over-the-top action comedy written and directed by David Sandberg (who also acted in the movie).

The movie features: arcade-robots, dinosaurs, nazis, vikings, norse gods, mutants and a super kung fu-cop called Kung Fury, all wrapped up in an 80s style action packed adventure.

While it is set in locations like 1980’s Miami and 1940’s Germany, KUNG FURY was shot in Sweden largely in front of green screens. Starring alongside Sandberg in the film includes Jorma Taccone, Leopold Nilsson, Eleni Young, Helene Ahlson, Andreas Cahling, Per-Henrik Arvidius, and Steven Chew.
