UK Startup Ikee Debuts Crowdcube Campaign For New Device That Is An All-In-One Phone & Tablet Accessory Solution

This week, Newcastle-based company Ikee launched an equity crowdfunding campaign on Crowdcube to raise 80,000 for its self-titled compact phone and table accessory.

Ikee 3The Ikee is described as an all-in-one solution for phone and tablet accessories. It is compact in size and is packed with technology that allows users to charge, transfer, playback, stream and locate from one item, keys. Currently, there are 2 versions of ikee, the Ikee mini and the Ikee Play. Both keys have the same basic functionality, with play having a built in android OS with HDMI & Streaming capabilities.

Ikee shared:

Ikee 2“Mobile devices users all over the world are faced with the same problems, day in, day out. Whether it be battery usage, needing a certain cable for a certain job, needing a vital file from one device onto another device, or something as simple as misplacing your device. All of these problems have some sort of a solution whether it be a bespoke solution or a singular device for a singular issue. In our experience there is no readily available solution to tie all of these together with minimum fuss.

“Ikee was born from our own experiences and lack of solutions to many problems we found ourselves facing on a daily basis. We decided to create a small keyring based device that was not only smart, but functional solving the issues such as battery fail, inability to access the web, not being able to transfer or play files from devices or even just losing your keys. “

Features of the device include:

  • Ikee 1Cross platform support
  • No internet required
  • Battery Charging
  • File Transfer
  • Playback
  • Tracking
  • Streaming
  • Mini PC/TV Solutions
  • Security

The funding will be used to ramp up development and continue to work through the final stages of prototypes and samples for the press and reviewers. It will also be used to finalist the product while the company is conducting pre-orders.

Since its launch, Ikee’s Crowdcube campaign has successfully raised over 55,000 from 26 investors. It is set to close at the end of July.
