With less than 12 hours left until its crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo comes to an end, Sondors has successfully secured over $1 million for its new THIN eBike. The initiative was launched last month, and the bulk amount ($449,000) was captured within 72 hours of its debut.

SondorsAs previously reported, the bicycle is described as an “eye-catching beauty” that supposedly will reinvent eBike transportation by integrating impeccable components with clean lines and sleek design. Storm Sondors and his team stated:

“We’ve upgraded the battery to a Panasonic single-cell battery (technology proven in the Tesla Model S) and made it ingeniously simple to use. With an effortless push of a button, you’ll be gliding along without lifting a toe. And, when you reach your destination without breaking a sweat, you’ll find THIN extraordinarily convenient and portable, allowing you to roll into the office or bike rack with the utmost of ease.”

Storm Sondors and Ben BatementThe Sondors THIN eBike is reportedly packed a 350W motor and weigh only 4.2 lbs (due to the ultra-light 100% aluminum frame). What makes it stand out even more? The price. Backers may purchase the bike $499. Upgrades range from $649 to $664.

This is reportedly the third crowdfunding campaign for Sondors, the first one on Indiegogo gained national notoriety for a lawsuit filed by Agency 2.0 as the company allegedly refused to pay a contractually agreed upon bill for marketing services provided. Sondors launched its second campaign through Indiegogo’s competitor, Kickstarter, last fall.

Shipping of the Thin eBike is said to commence as early as May 2016.
