Bristol Palin’s Ex-Fiancé Launches GoFundMe Campaign to Raise $10,000 For Legal Bills

Levi Johnston

Ready to move on from the family drama between him and his ex-fiancé, Bristol Palin, Levi Johnston has launched a GoFundMe to raise $10,000 so that he may pay his legal bills, which were accumulated during the custody battles over their son, Tripp Easton Mitchell Johnston.

Bristol PalinThe daughter of American politician, Sarah Palin, gave birth to Tripp in December 2008. At the time, she was engaged to Johnson. In March 2009, the couple split and a custody and child support case was reportedly filed in a local Alaska court. Since then, there have been on-and-off custody battles over the child. Luckily, it appears everything has finally been settled, but it has left Johnston stuck with a lot of bills to pay.

Johnston, along with his wife Sunny, decided to use the crowdfunding method to help end the legal woes and move on with their lives. The couple shared:

“Unlike some we are not able to raise money through fundraising e-mails or SuperPACS and are instead asking for your help in paying these bills and allowing us to get back to the important job of raising our family. Though feeling somewhat overwhelmed it had never occurred to us to ask for money using Go Fund Me, but after so many generous people reached out to us and offered their help we decided to swallow our pride and take them up on their extremely kind offers.”

Within only two days, the campaign has successfully secured its initial $10,000 goal thanks to nearly 200 supporters. The couple, which also have two daughters of their own, noted:

“Every dime will go toward attorney fees and the outstanding debts that we accrued during this long and very difficult legal battle.”
