Zopa Announces New Chief Technology Officer

On Tuesday, peer-to-peer lending platform Zopa announced it has appointed Ronen Benchetrit as its new Chief Technology Officer (CTO). The website shared this hire is considered a strategic hire for its fintech business.

Zopa-LaptopHomeRonen, which is bringing more than two decades of software and management expertise to Zopa and recently served as CTO of online gaming operator PokerStars, will reportedly be responsible for leading Zopa’s tech team and driving the overall technology strategy to support business growth. Prior to joining PokerStars, Ronen led the development of AVAYA Telecommunications switches and Voice-Over-IP phones for the enterprise marketplace. He also led the engineering in a software development boutique that he co-founded specializing in the security and defense sectors. 

Sharing thoughts about his new position at Zopa, Benchetrit stated:
