Fquare (EF-kware? Fuh-kware? WTF? We’ll go with WTF) has a creative way of connecting farmers and the masses. They’re building a crowdfunding platform to allow farmers to facilitate leaseback agreements with the help of crowd power.
Fquare was live at some point today, but as of this writing it is down for the count. Fquare.com displays the lovely GoDaddy placeholder page.
Land is purchased from the farmers and leased back to them at a 4-6% interest rate. It is a long-standing practice in the agriculture industry.
This is yet another example of a startup crowdfunding portal focused on serving a narrow niche well.
