Zine makers hit the road to share their skills

THE two creative minds behind Toowoomba’s independent Bizoo publication are preparing to hit the road.

With their sights set on regional Victoria, Elouise Quinlivan and Jeremy Staples are taking the plans to build a pop up venue with them but they need some support to make it a reality.

The two have been sharing their skills and experiences of documenting, seeking out alternative stories and publishing them in small towns like Toowoomba since the Bizoo retrospective book launched in 2011.

“It’s a community driven project that sees young people express themselves and talk about the change they want to see,” Ms Quinlivan said.

“These artefacts are swapped, distributed and kept by libraries, councils and community groups.”
