Deal Focus: 28-Year Army Veteran Hopes to Open a FitGolf Franchise

Gerhard Schulz is set to retire from the Army in the spring of 2013 after 28 years in the service.  He is leveraging crowdfunding web site Sprigster in hopes of raising $50,000 to open a new FitGolf franchise in Houston, Texas.

From the Sprigster offering page:

After serving for almost 28 years in the military, I will retire from the Army in the spring of 2013 and pursue a FitGolf Performance Center franchise. The FitGolf franchise will allow me to combine my passion for fitness and love for the game of golf turning them into my next career and business ownership.

As a FitGolf Center owner/operator, I will use golf performance technology to identify fitness deficiencies and develop specific training programs to address those deficiencies for my clients. I chose FitGolf for this opportunity based on their support structure to franchisees and proven business model. Please take a few minutes to watch my video and help me realize my dream of small business ownership.

Thank you so much for your support!

This is a great opportunity to thank someone who has spent 28 years serving the United States.  Opportunities like this get to the core of what crowdfunding is all about: leveraging the crowd to build strong businesses on the foundation of strong leadership.  Gerhard has about 8 weeks to raise $50,000.  Capital will go toward purchasing the franchise.  We sincerely wish him the best and thank him for his service.
