Soon after the most violent winds passed the twitter sphere was loaded with almost real time photos of submerged cars and floating houses. Most of my family and friends have been fortunate in dodging the most extreme damage or loss. Everyone has had trees ripped from the ground and many have lost power for days to come. These are frustrating inconveniences which are soon forgotten. But many of the less fortunate have lost more than power. They have lost homes, livelihoods and some have lost the lives of loved ones.
