UK Crowdfunding site Crowdcube held two webinars on December 19th presenting investment pitches from two Entrepreneurs: Simon Grice of iNeed and Paul Mander-O’Birne of the Bike Leasing Company.
CrowdCube is leveraging technology to bring entrepreneurs even closer to potential investors. Just prior to the event iNeed had raised 24% of their £100,000 funding target. The Bike Leasing had raised only 22% of their £100,000 objective.
Each offering for investors was for an equity participation in these companies. iNeed had originally closed a seed round of funding for £50,000 previously on the CrowdCube platform. The funds were raised in an astounding 5 days making it one of the fastest rounds ever on the platform.
The Bike Leasing Company was offering 20% equity in their enterprise. They had 30 days left for their offering.
CrowdCube has indicated their willingness to continue to offer these investor webinars going forward.
