Hearing on Crowdfunding to be Streamed Live at 10AM EST.
Small Business Subcommittee on Investigations, Oversight and Regulations will be holding a hearing today at the Rayburn House Office Building on Capital Hill. The hearing has been titled, “Financing America’s Small Businesses: Innovative Ideas for Raising Capital”, and features several prominent crowdfunding industry leaders including:
Ms. Danae Ringelmann, Co-Founder, Indiegogo, San Francisco, CA
Mr. Benjamin Miller, Co-Founder, Fundrise, Washington, DC
Mr. Alejandro Cremades, Founder and CEO, RockThePost, New York, NY
Ms. Michelle Sullivan, Senior Director of Corporate Communications and External Affairs, Boston Beer Company, Boston, MA (Samuel Adams Beer)
As stated in the on the House Committees web site “The purpose of the hearing is to review several innovative financing options and determine if those methods are meeting entrepreneurs needs.” This committee is chaired by David Schweikert a Republican from Arizona.
