NACLA Turns To Indiegogo For Tablet Version Of Quarterly Pub

naclaThe North American Congress on Latin America (NACLA) has launched an Indiegogo campaign seeking funding for a tablet version of the “most widely-read English-language magazine on Latin America,” NACLA Report on the Americas.

For 45 years, NACLA has uncovered the real stories from the Americas, reporting on social, political, and human rights issues that are often overlooked or covered up by the mainstream media. Noam Chomsky has said of the organization, “The outstanding work of NACLA over many years has opened new ways of understanding the realities of the region and responding to the needs and concerns of its population. A resource of enormous value.”

NACLA’s Indiegogo campaign is now live and will end on Saturday, August 10th. The launch of a tablet version of their quarterly publication is slated for September of 2013, the 40 year anniversary of the Chilean coup. In addition to a tablet version of their publication, funds will also go toward redesigning the NACLA web site. The Indiegogo campaign has verified nonprofit status and is flexibly funded.
