Brief: Me-Mover Beats $100,000 Goal in Just 4 Days

Me Mover FundedThe Me-Mover is kind of like a human powered segway (but with 3 wheels not just 2), has blasted past their goal of crowdfunding $100,000 on Kickstarter in just 4 days.  We just did a write up on this product in our weekly mailbox feature this past weekend.

The Me-Mover team is now setting up some stretch goals with some awesome features including some customized parts, a luggage rack and more.  They are looking at supporters to help out and choose which features should be added and with over three weeks to go in the campaign they have plenty of time to push their funding total higher.

Me Mover BlackOne person who has already ordered twenty of the sleek new vehicles is Søren Herlev Jørgensen, CEO of tour company, BeCopenhagen.

“Our tourists have tried other vehicles,” explains Jørgensen, “and they tell us Me-Mover is the best way to know the city. It can fly along with the cyclists, but it is the only vehicle that also lets them go as slow as pedestrians. For visitors who want choice – to stop, talk to people, smell the flowers, shop the farmer’s market-– Me-Mover is the way to go.”

“Me-Mover outwits all the obstacles that get in the way of active mobility,” says inventor Eliasson. The proof? Here in Copenhagen, the Me-Mover is getting some Danes out of their cars, gyms, and off their bikes – even in the world’s cycling capital.”

I for one have never been much of a Segway fan. Just another excuse to be lazy when you should really be walking.  Me-Mover eliminates the lethargy of the Segway but keeps all of the fun.  So if you are looking for a new form of urban transport you should check this crowdfunding campaign out now.
