HWTrek, a global community for digital electronics, today announced the beta launch of the HWTrek Project Development Hub (the Hub), the world’s first cloud-based intelligent navigation tool for creators and inventors working to bring hardware projects to market.
The Hub generates a management flow tailored specifically to each unique project and facilitates collaboration between inventors and HWTrek’s ecosystem of manufacturing and supply chain partners – ensuring that the right people are matched up and connecting based on their areas of expertise.In the beta phase, inventors are able to:
- Create a preliminary schedule that gives an overview of all the tasks that lie ahead,
- Collaborate with HWTrek’s experienced project management team, which will tailor a schedule and production plan for each project,
- Monitor a project’s progress, and
- Move into the next stage of the production timeline with industry guidance.

The first step is to let the Hub know what you’re building. Projects span across all hardware categories, from mobile and wearables, to auto, health and science, to industrial apps. Based on specific project information input into the system, the Hub will generate a customized production schedule.
Users then track the progress of each ongoing project, with prompts on what exactly needs to be done at that point for each one. With that insight, users can use the built-in communication channel to invite relevant collaborators – team members, partners and manufacturers – to learn about their project idea, production schedule and plans to bring the product to market.
