HWTrek, a global community for digital electronics, today announced the beta launch of the HWTrek Project Development Hub (the Hub), the world’s first cloud-based intelligent navigation tool for creators and inventors working to bring hardware projects to market.
In the beta phase, inventors are able to:
- Create a preliminary schedule that gives an overview of all the tasks that lie ahead,
- Collaborate with HWTrek’s experienced project management team, which will tailor a schedule and production plan for each project,
- Monitor a project’s progress, and
- Move into the next stage of the production timeline with industry guidance.
Co-founder and CEO of HWTrek, Lucas Wang stated, “Navigating the process of developing a new gadget or mobile device can seem daunting to even the most experienced inventor. The Hub assists inventors every step of the way and all in one place as they plan, develop, manage resources and track the progress of their projects. Its intelligent navigation is unlike anything else out there, working as a matchmaker for the global hardware maker community. This is just the beginning; users can expect more features over the coming months.”
The first step is to let the Hub know what you’re building. Projects span across all hardware categories, from mobile and wearables, to auto, health and science, to industrial apps. Based on specific project information input into the system, the Hub will generate a customized production schedule.
Users then track the progress of each ongoing project, with prompts on what exactly needs to be done at that point for each one. With that insight, users can use the built-in communication channel to invite relevant collaborators – team members, partners and manufacturers – to learn about their project idea, production schedule and plans to bring the product to market.
HWTrek pairs manufacturing experts with project creators to help navigate the complexities of bringing new hardware to market, in order to deliver a high quality product on time, under budget, and at scale. Backers get high quality products, and creators get the support they need to make their product vision a reality.
