I take thousands of photos and lots of video. Much of what I shoot turns to digital dust in the cloud. Maybe someday I will view and use. Maybe not. The good stuff gets viewed again and again. Wouldn’t it be nice to have a camera that helps me select what is worthy and what is not? Enter Graava.
This aspiring GoPro killer uses smart-technology to tackle the video Goliath. With built in sensors and software, the Artificial Intelligence (AI) automatically edits your full HD video. No need to sort through the content. Graava does it for you.
“Millions of videos are shot every day, but very few people actually have the time, experience, or software necessary to edit the hours of footage they have after a long day skiing or zip lining,” says CEO and Co-founder Bruno Gregory. “Graava is here to take care of that for you. We make creating awesome videos easier than ever, and it’s going to completely change the way people share experiences.”
While I have not yet had the chance to sport a Graava, the claims are pretty cool;
- Built in sensors include: image sensor, microphone, accelerometer, and GPS and can also pair with 3rd party heart rate monitors (when you are excited – it shoots).
- Graava has an App that speeds social sharing – with just a tap.
- Many Graava’s can be used at the same time to generate multiple perspectives and combine video.
Graava is launching a pre-tail crowdfunding campaign. Early purchasers may pre-order one for $249 today. Cheaper than a GoPro, but you have to wait until early 2016. Graava has also signed up the viral-pitchman behind COIN and Tru-Car to help deliver the message. You can watch him explain how you can automate memories (video below).
