Overfunding: Mr Lee’s Noodles Secures £375,000 Funding Goal on Seedrs

Mr. Lee’s Noodles, a Bournemouth-based noodle brand, has successfully secured its initial £375,000 funding target through equity crowdfunding platform Seedrs. Over 200 investors have contributed to the company’s initiative so far.

The company describes its noodles as award-winning, 100% tasty, 0% nasty, gluten-free, kick-ass gourmet noodles in a cup. It was revealed:

“We love noodles but we’re also a company that loves good food. We love learning about food, talking about food, sharing food and, most importantly, creating those memorable experiences that food can provide. Mr Lee’s was inspired by healthy eating and we know our food choices assist our everyday health, provide us with energy and can help to create a balanced lifestyle and culture. That’s why we use the best available ingredients in all our products. All our food is free of hydrogenated fats and E numbers. And it always will be. 100% tasty, 0% nasty is our mantra.”

Explaining how the company was created, Founder of Mr. Lee’s Noodles, Damien Lee, stated:

A few years ago, I was faced with late stage 4 cancer. I knew I had to clean up my eating if I was to survive. So, when I started chemo, I stopped eating junk, including instant noodles, my guilty pleasure. I realised very clearly that we are what we eat and I vowed that once I got better, I’d create a healthy and great tasting cup noodle, without any nasties. I got better and Mr Lee’s Noodles was born. No MSG, hydrogenated fats, E-numbers or other horrible stuff, but full of natural, real ingredients. They have been recognised in the industry… and we now aim to aggressively expand the business to its potential.”

Lee also noted that in regards to the company’s tech, its interactive noodle kiosk and software delivers a hot noodle meal 24/7 and Mr. Lee’s Noodles plans to partner with catering and retail brands to provide its very own retail distribution network, which will be located in universities, hospitals, defence force bases, travel hubs, high footfall retailers, etc.

Funds from the Seedrs initiative will be used to continue Mr. Lee’s Noodles’ growth. The campaign is set to close later this summer.
