Global Fintech Remitly Establishes Business Operations in Greater Vancouver Area

Remitly (NASDAQ: RELY) is pleased to announce the opening of their first Greater Vancouver area office in New Westminster, nestled along the picturesque Fraser River.

According to Remit, this new location marks “a significant milestone in our growth journey as we expand our corporate footprint to Canada and tap into the vibrant tech ecosystem of the Greater Vancouver area.”

Their New Westminster office will serve “as a growing center of excellence for Remitly, supporting product development across several priority areas for the business.”

Remitly added that they’re looking forward to “expanding their team in this inspiring environment and be a part of Canada’s thriving tech scene.”

This strategic expansion into New Westminster is said to be “a testament to Remitly’s commitment to growth and innovation.”

As Remitly continue to evolve, they are dedicated to “investing in the future and building strong relationships within the local tech community.”

As covered recently, Remitly Global, Inc., a provider of digital financial services, has announced the appointment of finance executive Vikas Mehta as Chief Financial Officer, succeeding Hemanth Munipalli, effective August 19, 2024.

Munipalli is leaving for family reasons, and will “oversee an orderly transition, remaining with the company through September 30, 2024.”

In his most recent role as CFO of Komodo Health, Mehta was “responsible for scaling revenue and improving margins and profitability.”
