Become an Investor in Black Venture Funds, Growth Startups & Ecosystems – Virtual
June 24 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm EDT
About this event
Are you an aspiring Black or ally investor who wants to invest in the Black technology startup ecosystem or to advance racial equity in our nation’s innovation space? Join 100 Black Angels and Allies’ Fund General Partner Rodney Sampson who will lead a conversation about how to get started as an investor in early stage Black- and Brown-founded venture funds and startups, some of the essential components of how to evaluate and make investments and how investing in this asset class will help to close the racial wealth gap in America.
For those interested in becoming investors themselves, Rodney will also give a preview of his upcoming Black Technology Investors Certificate course offered through UNC Scale School.
Can’t make the chat, but are committed to learning more about getting started as an investor in early stage Black- and Brown-founded venture funds and startups? RSVP anyways and we’ll send you a Zoom recording of the conversation.
This conversation is part of a two-part DEI Fireside Chat series honoring Juneteenth hosted by the UNC Entrepreneurship Center and Opportunity Hub (OHUB) featuring Rodney Sampson. Our first conversation, “Activating Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Solutions in your Life and Your Company,” takes place on Tuesday, June 22, at 1:00 p.m. EDT. Learn more about Part 1 here.
