SIX welcomes Valour Digital Securities Limited as the latest issuer of Exchange-Traded Products (ETPs) with crypto-assets as underlying.
Valour Digital Securities Ltd lists two products on the Blockchains Internet Computer (ICP) and Hedera (HBAR).
With this launch, Valour Digital Securities Limited increases the aggregate number of listed crypto products to 451.
Valour Digital Securities Limited expands the range of crypto ETPs available on SIX, providing investors with access to the Internet Computer blockchain project and Hedera.
The 1Valour Internet Computer (ICP) Physical Staking ETP is designed to track the price of ICP, which is the native digital token of the Internet Computer blockchain – a project focused on allowing smart contracts to run on its network to enable “decentralized” internet infrastructure.
Collectively, these ETPs offer diversified access to blockchain technologies that are transforming the digital economy.
Additionally, both offer a yield-generating feature at a fixed rate, while enabling a “compliant product that is 100% physically backed, and stored in cold storage by licensed custodians.”
Since the start of the year, the 188 crypto-asset ETPs listed on SIX Swiss Exchange have generated a trading “turnover of CHF 2.06 billion across 104’000 trades.”
This reportedly represents a 51.0% increase when compared to the 1st half year of the previous calendar year.
Of the total 188 ETPs with crypto-asset underlyings, Bitcoin leads in trading volume share “at 37.4%, followed by Solana at 22.9%.”
The launch of the two new ETPs reflect the investor interest in diversifying beyond the “dominant” cryptocurrencies.
Elaine Buehler, Head of Products, Valour Digital Securities Limited, commented:
“These listings offer investors … access to … blockchain networks with staking yields built in. At Valour, we’re laser-focused on driving the adoption of digital assets by making … technologies investable through … trusted financial infrastructure.”
Established in 2019, Valour bridges the gap between traditional finance and the ecosystem of decentralized finance (DeFi).
Leveraging digital assets like Bitcoin, Valour creates financial solutions that are regulated, making it easier for traditional investors to “access new asset classes.”
