Autobrains, an OurCrowd portfolio company, has revealed a partnership with Uber and NVIDIA to launch a robotaxi service in Munich, Germany.
The announcement was made at the recent NVIDIA GTC Taipei event.
In an OurCrowd blog post, Igal Raichelgauz, CEO and founder of Autobrains, stated, “[Autonomous Driving] requires systems that can reason, adapt, and make decisions under uncertainty. With Uber and NVIDIA, we are bringing this approach into autonomous ride-hailing – combining Agentic AI with the mobility platform and automotive compute needed to support scalable robotaxi operations across cities, vehicles, and real-world conditions.”
NVIDIA will provide the hardware and AI platform for DRIVE Hyperion.
UBER has committed to its ride-hailing solution.
Autobrains will power the autonomous driving with its agentic AI software.
The robotaxi service is currently expected to launch in late 2026 or early 2027.
For Autobrains, the agreement represents significant validation for its platform.
Autobrains was a securities offering listed on OurCrowd during its Series B funding round in 2019 at an undisclosed valuation. The securities offering allowed smaller investors (accredited) to participate in the funding round alongside big names like Temasek and BMW i Ventures. In 2022, the company raised $120 million in a Series C round. While no valuation was shared, estimates place the Series C offering at a pre-money amount of over $1 billion.
OurCrowd reports over 70 exits since inception, with estimates pegging the amount returned to investors at over $370 million. OurCrowd reports over a quarter of a million “members” worldwide.
