Fintech Platform Swivel Connects Payment Guidance to Temenos Digital Collector

Swivel, a fintech unit of SWBC, has confirmed that its payment and engagement technology is now available inside Temenos Digital Collector, a self-service collections tool within Temenos’ Lifecycle Management Suite.

The connection is designed so banks and credit unions can offer more tailored, data-informed support to borrowers without leaving the collections environment they already use.

Temenos Digital Collector is built to let account holders manage past-due balances on their own schedule—making payments, setting plans, and communicating through preferred channels—while institutions keep visibility and control.

Layering Swivel into that workspace means those same institutions can deliver personalized financial guidance at the moment of engagement.

The companies say the combined setup is intended to lift response rates and improve repayment results by pairing collections workflows with insight-driven borrower experiences.

A practical selling point is speed.

Because Swivel can run alongside Digital Collector rather than requiring a heavy custom build, firms can switch the capability on with less integration work.

That, the announcement argues, shortens time to value and trims both development and ongoing operating costs.

The integration sits inside the broader Lifecycle Management Suite, which already covers collections processes, borrower outreach, and analytics-led decisions.Temenos framed the move as part of a wider partner strategy.

Edgardo Torres-Caballero, SVP of Global Partnerships at Temenos, said the firm’s partner network helps institutions react faster to changing customer expectations and roll out new features more quickly.

Working with providers such as Swivel, he added, extends the Temenos platform with ready-to-use tools and gives US banks and credit unions more options, speed, and flexibility as they modernize digital experiences.

From Swivel’s side, Stephen Harding, Partner Relationship Manager, called availability inside Digital Collector a notable step in the relationship with Temenos.

He said closer collaboration expands access to insight-led financial guidance, helping banks and credit unions support borrowers more effectively, strengthen collections performance, and grow with more confidence.

The timing also follows industry recognition.

Collections remains a sensitive area for lenders. Institutions need recoveries and compliance, but they also need to protect long-term relationships.

Digital self-service has become one way to strike that balance: borrowers can resolve issues privately and on their own time, while staff concentrate on more complex cases.

Connecting a payments and guidance layer like Swivel to a collections portal is meant to make that path more useful—less friction at the point of payment, more relevant information for the person who owes the money, and fewer handoffs for the institution.

For Temenos clients already running Digital Collector or the Lifecycle Management Suite, the announcement is less about a brand-new product than about adding a certified path to capabilities they may already want.

For Swivel, it is another distribution channel into institutions that have standardized on Temenos for collections and recovery. Together, the companies are positioning the integration as a way to modernize borrower engagement without a multi-year systems project.
