WASHINGTON — Chairman Michael S. Selig and the Risk Management Center at Kansas State University today released the agenda for the Agricultural Commodity Futures Conference (AgCon) on October 22-23, 2026, in Overland Park, Kansas.

Attendees will discuss topics related to market structure, changes in emerging markets, contract convergence, financing, data, access to clearing, artificial intelligence, and the state of the farm economy. View the full agenda here.

Chairman Selig said, “American agriculture is the backbone of this country, and it has been at the heart of the CFTC’s mission from the very beginning. AgCon brings together farmers, agribusinesses, traders, and exchanges from across the country to ensure our markets are strong, competitive, and capable of helping producers manage risk. I look forward to bringing AgCon back so we have the opportunity to listen and learn from industry leaders and ensure the CFTC remains focused on supporting the agricultural community and the millions of Americans who depend on it.”

K-State Interim Associate Vice-President Extension/Engagement Ernie Minton said, “Agricultural markets are being reshaped by technology, policy, and global forces. AgCon 2026 provides a place where people who regulate markets, study them, and operate within them can come together to talk through those changes. K-State’s partnership with the CFTC perfectly fits our land grant mission of public outreach and makes those conversations possible.”

The conference will be held at the Marriott Overland Park Hotel in Overland Park, Kansas. For more information and to access registration and the hotel block, please visit here.
