Uniform Labs, the company behind Multiliquid, has completed a seed funding round led by Polychain. The round also drew participation from Strobe Ventures, CMT Digital, Metalayer Ventures, Generative Ventures, and Circle Ventures.
Combined with earlier capital, the company has now raised a total of $8 million.
The announcement came from the Los Angeles-based firm on October 15, 2026.Multiliquid operates as an institutional liquidity protocol designed for tokenized assets.
It functions as a neutral, compliance-oriented settlement layer that enables holders to exchange blue-chip tokenized real-world assets for stablecoins—and vice versa—in a single atomic transaction.
Supported assets currently include tokenized funds from asset managers such as Wellington Management, VanEck, Janus Henderson, and Fasanara, along with major stablecoins including USDC. The protocol is live on Ethereum and Solana.
The platform addresses a core friction in the growing market for tokenized securities.
While issuance of on-chain versions of Treasuries, money-market funds, private credit, and other traditional instruments has accelerated, secondary liquidity and redemption remain constrained by conventional subscription and redemption cycles that can take days to settle.
Multiliquid aims to provide continuous, around-the-clock convertibility between yield-bearing tokenized investments and transactional stablecoins without requiring institutions to carry the assets on their own balance sheets.
This capability has gained relevance amid regulatory developments such as the GENIUS Act, which restricts payment stablecoin issuers from distributing yield directly to holders.
As a result, institutions seeking returns on idle capital increasingly need efficient rails to move between stablecoins and separate tokenized investment products.
Multiliquid positions itself as the connective infrastructure for that rotation at institutional scale.
Will Beeson, founder and CEO of Multiliquid, described the problem and the company’s approach in the announcement.
He noted that tokenization only delivers value if the underlying assets can be readily liquidated, observing that traditional markets depend on deep repurchase-agreement facilities and overnight lending to maintain liquidity flow.
On-chain markets, he argued, require equivalent institutional plumbing.
Beeson said the participation of Polychain and the other investors validates the focus on continuous settlement as a foundational layer for broader institutional adoption.
Olaf Carlson-Wee, founder of Polychain, echoed the liquidity theme.
He stated that tokenized assets have begun to attract interest but that liquidity remains the primary bottleneck.
Multiliquid, he added, is constructing the layer that allows institutions to move between tokenized funds and stablecoins across different issuers and venues.
Carlson-Wee also highlighted Beeson’s prior experience in the sector.
Beeson previously worked in senior product roles at Standard Chartered’s tokenized-asset initiatives and has background at other financial institutions.
Multiliquid was founded by professionals with experience at Standard Chartered and UniCredit.
The company has indicated that proceeds from the round will support further protocol engineering, expansion of liquidity and trading-venue partnerships, and integration of additional tokenized cash and US Treasury products across Ethereum Virtual Machine-compatible networks and Solana.
Details on the exact split of the $8 million between the pre-seed and seed rounds, as well as the valuation, have not been disclosed.
Reporting indicates the earlier round used a simple agreement for future equity while the seed was structured as priced equity.
The company has stated it has no current plans to issue its own token.
Multiliquid generates revenue through basis-point fees on completed conversions and is already processing early pilot transactions while adding liquidity providers.
The raise occurs against a backdrop of expanding tokenized real-world asset markets, where secondary liquidity has lagged issuance growth. By enabling atomic, NAV-referenced swaps rather than relying solely on traditional fund redemption windows, Multiliquid seeks to reduce settlement delays and operational friction for institutional users managing reserves, margins, or investment strategies.
