For the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) the consolidation of the Fintech Ecosystem is a fundamental piece to increase the regional financial inclusion levels. Your participation in this process is key and to that extent, we are pleased to invite you to our Second FintechLAC Regional Event: “FINTECH: A PATH TOWARDS RECOVERY AND FINANCIAL INCLUSION” that will take place from April 5 to 9, 2021.

We estimated having daily virtual meetings (5 to 8th April), on a registration basis only, with the participation of financial authorities, Fintech associations and chambers, and the Fintech platforms from IDB’s borrowing member countries. Innovators from both banking and capital market sectors and their regulators will be present too. It is a public-private dialogue with results and topics of interest for all of us.

The topics look to the future of the fintech ecosystem:

  • Digital Onboarding: A Vision From Identity
  • A vision of the Fintech sector in Latin America and the Caribbean in times of COVID-19
  • Open Finance: A Look to the Future in Latin America and the Caribbean
  • Regulatory Innovations for Developing the Fintech Ecosystem

We will have the presence of local and international panelists of the highest level, such as Mme Anna Joubin-Bret, Secretary of  United Nations Commission on International Trade Law and Director  ITLD/OLA (UNCITRAL),  and D. Sebastian Doerr, Economist expert in Innovation and the Digital Economy of Bank for International Settlements (BIS).
