Women’s Economic Empowerment TechSprint Conference – Virtual
March 22, 2021 - March 25, 2021
Prior experience shows that pandemics have far-reaching gendered implications which exploit and entrench pre-existing norms and inequalities. These range from violence against women to disproportionately impacting women’s finances and restricting women’s engagement in the workplace.
Our research is showing that the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic is no different as it continues to create economic uncertainty and harm to those already in vulnerable circumstances.
This conference is running in parallel to our Women’s Economic Empowerment TechSprint. Over four days, we are bringing together experts from around the world to discuss the challenges that women face and share ideas on how technology and innovation can improve inclusion, access and resilience for millions of women as well as vulnerable consumers.
Each day will focus on a different theme:
- Global impact of coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic on women
- Open finance, alternative data and digital identity
- Building a career as a woman in fintech, data and innovation
- TechSprint demos and winner announcement
Session details can be found on the Agenda page.
The conference will showcase the female talent throughout the technology, data and financial services sectors, as well as the leaders and champions who advocate for vulnerable women every day.
