Crowdfund Insider has assembled major financial market experts for its latest webinar ‘Regulated Secondary Trading in Private Securities‘.
They are StartEngine CEO and Co-founder Howard Marks, Securitize President and Co-founder Jamie Finn, and Rialto Markets Chief Technology Officer and FIX Trading Community Global Co-chair Lee Saba.
StartEngine, Rialto Markets and Securitize each enable the primary issuance of private securities as well as secondary trading.
Marks, Finn, and Saba will be onstage virtually at 2PM ET on May 17th, 2022, to discuss private securities liquidity, namely:
- A private securities market valued at $7 trillion in 2021 and forecast to grow to $30 trillion by 2030 according to Forbes.
- Pitchbook data reporting that global crowdfunding exploded from $8.61 billion in 2020 to $113.52 billion last year – a 1,021% increase.
- Where we are today in private securities markets
Critical elements that issuers need to look for when raising capital through online capital formation will be reviewed, as well as how new regulations deliver even more security and protection to investors.
The webinar will also walk through the key details of secondary trading in private securities for both investors and private companies raising capital, a topic each panellist can add significant weight to.
Howard Marks co-founded video game giant Activision in 1991, creating a $37 billion market leader before co-founding equity crowdfunding platform StartEngine in 2014, which has launched more Reg CF offerings than any rival and successfully funded more than 500 companies.
Fellow panelist Jamie Finn has participated in over $700m worth of transactions in his 20-year career and co-founded Securitize in 2017, a leader in digital asset securities which uses blockchain technology to allow investment into start-ups and early-stage companies.
Rialto Markets’ Lee Saba has more than 20 years of financial service industry experience, including at Wellington Management, where he was responsible for proprietary and third-party multi-asset electronic trading and connectivity infrastructure.
In addition, Saba is global co-chair of the FIX Trading Community and, while at Wellington, was head of the inaugural IT FinTech Working Group, being a vocal advocate of the investor hub for blockchain and digital assets research.
Webinar host and Crowdfund Insider Co-Founder Andrew Dix said he is very pleased to have such a high profile panel for the upcoming webinar:
“All three panellists have deep experience in investment, crowdfunding and digital assets, so listening to and providing their insight to private companies raising capital and investors is something I’m looking forward to.”
He added that investors must understand as to their options for exiting a private security and secondary trading is fast emerging as a viable option for individuals that have participated in Reg CF offerings as well as other exempt securities.
Rialto Markets is a Fintech specialist broker-dealer helping high-growth private companies raise capital through its infrastructure and technology, possessing a pipeline of signed contracts exceeding $1 billion while actively raising nearly $250m for 23 private companies.
This month, Rialto Markets CEO and Co-Founder Shari Noonan also received the Instinet Positive Change Visionary title at the prestigious Markets Choice Awards in New York
Noonan won the award in praise of Rialto Markets’ work creating its new secondary market Alternative Trading System (ATS), which offers exciting high growth private companies the opportunity to raise capital and trade shares on the ATS in a similar way to public offerings on stock exchanges like the Nasdaq or NYSE.
