Have you heard of Catapult? It’s a new crowdfunding web site where all dollars donated go specifically to programs that benefit women and girls; not to overhead or salaries, but to the specific programs you choose to donate to.
I have been periodically giving to projects in Africa and Asia found on Catapult that accommodate and care for expectant mothers, and provide nutrition to families. It’s deeply satisfying knowing that every dime I give will go directly where I intend. The founders of Catapult realized that when people give to non-profits and NGOs the vast majority of the money goes into programs, but a portion typically goes to operational costs. In fact, Catapult doesn’t even charge a fee to collect donations.
