Health Care Innovation Crowdfunding Site Hatch to Participate in The Hive

Health Tech HatchHealth Tech Hatch (Hatch), a site that crowdfunds early stage innovations in health care,  today announced it is one of 48 innovators selected to take part in The Hive, debuting at TEDMED 2013 in association with the StartUp Health Network. An immersive and informal social environment dedicated to exploring transformative innovations and inspiring entrepreneurs in health and medicine, The Hive will live online at TEDMED.com and via a 30,000 square foot superstructure on the South Plaza of the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., April 16-19, 2013.

At The Hive, incubators and accelerators, government-run programs, academic specialists, independent start-ups and labs run by Fortune 500 companies will come together to share and to discover important drivers of innovation. TEDMED will create and host interactive, hands-on social environments for Delegates to discover breakthrough thinking, and to meet leading future-thinkers.

The Hive brings together a diverse community of independent start-ups, incubators/accelerators, government-run challenges, academically-led programs and labs run by Fortune 500 companies. Selected by an eight -member curation team who helped to ensure it represents a diverse set of innovators and entrepreneurs, Hive participants emerged from an applicant pool of more than 250 innovators doing game-changing work in varied fields both inside and outside health and medicine.
