Mosaic Asks for Support for SXSW Panel Proposal

Energy crowdfunding platform Mosaic ask for help with their panel idea for SXSW.  From a post on their crowdfunding platform:

Familiar with South by Southwest (SXSW) Eco?

It’s an event that challenges professionals to create actionable and profitable solutions that address issues in areas such as energy, water, and conservation. The event includes panels, exhibitions, and plenty of great networking opportunities.

YOU can help Mosaic spread the word about democratizing clean energy at SXSW Eco by up-voting our panel idea – similar to how you up-vote on Reddit.

Here’s the step-by-step on voting for our “New Ways of Financing the Clean Energy Economy” panel.

The description of the proposed panel is below:

Financing is the key to unlocking solar energy and making it accessible to more people. Less than 5% of banks in the U.S. finance solar installations–making it difficult for solar installers to gain access to the capital they need.

Recently there has been a movement to democratize this process by allowing individuals to come together and invest in a solar installation. Similar to crowdfunding, this process enables hundreds of individuals to invest as little as $25 to finance a solar project and, in some cases, earn competitive returns on investment.

Using Mosaic, an online marketplace for clean energy, as an example, this session explains the positive impact this innovative model has on solar project developers, solar project owners and the solar industry as a whole.
