Vourno now allows Canadian project creators and backers to fund projects and ideas. Vourno is a crowdfunding platform for funding video journalism projects.
Project creators, or “Vournos” as they’re called, can run campaigns in Canadian dollars (CAD) and accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express credit card payments from Pubs around the world. All funds received on successfully funded campaigns will be paid in CAD. This feature means that funds stay as CAD rather than being exchanged into U.S. dollars. The end results are savings on foreign exchange fees and a seamless user experience.
