Allegedly Renata Shamrakova stole nearly $1 Million from Nicky Hilton’s ex-husband Todd Meister (they were married for only 6 weeks). She has been ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $821,000 to keep herself out of prison. With funds a bit low Ms. Shamrakova has resorted to crowdfunding attempt on the crowdfunding for everyone site GoFundMe.
Recently Ms. Shamrakova’s plight was featured in the NYDailyNews where she was dubbed the “Sexy Ukrainian Thief”. She was convicted of Grand Larceny after using credit cards from hedge fund manager Meister. Shamrakova was working as his personal assistant at the time using the funds to bankroll a jet-setting lifestyle.
The plea for support has not generated many donations to date standing at only $300 raised from 7 supporters.
