The Cookie Bar is a bakery that is known for alcohol-infused cookies and snacks. The company has just won a contest held in a partnership between the National Association for the Self-Employed (NASE), the Small Business & Entrepreneurship Council (SBE Council) and Columbus, Ohio-based crowdfunding platform Fundable.
The contest win means $10,000 for the Cookie Bar. Owners and mother-daughter duo Wendy and Jenny Baumgartner say the cash will help The Cookie Bar to open a storefront.
We’re incredibly excited to have taken part in this national contest. Of course we are extremely grateful for the sponsors, who are helping us grow our local, family-owned small business. The Cookie Bar is a mother-daughter venture, and we have big dreams for this small business. The capital we’ve raised through this crowdfunding contest, along with the additional $10,000 in prize money, will help us realize our goal of opening a storefront business in our community.
The Baumgartner’s raised over $10,000 on Fundable from just 16 backers, bringing their total fundraising to $20,975. There is still two days left in the Fundable campaign.
