Airtame is Nominated for Best Startup at CES 2014

AirtameStill crowdfunding on Indiegogo, tech startup Airtame has been nominated for “Best Startup” at CES 2014.  The Copenhagen based company still has more than a week to go in their campaign but have have raised over $458,000 on a goal of just $160,000.  Crowdfund Insider originally covered the campaign back in November after the team in Denmark had just launched on Indiegogo.  Airtame rocketed almost immediately to over 50% of their goal.

SONY DSCAirtame is wireless HDMI.  Whether it is the TV hanging on your wall or the projector in a conference room they want to eliminate the need (and clutter) for screen cables.  Most certainly a noble cause.

Team Airtame posted a note encouraging their backers to be certain to vote as there is a People’s Choice Award which Airtame may claim as well.  With over 4700 contributors to the campaign they have a great chance of winning over their sole competitor – FINsix; a powerful yet tiny laptop adapter.

The Best of CES is sponsored by the tech junkies at Engadget.  On January 8th, they will announce the finalists for all 14 editor-curated categories at 3:00 PM ET. At that time, they will also invite readers to vote for their favorite from among the total slate of finalists in another poll. Voting will remain open until 6:00 PM ET the following day, and the most popular product will be announced as the People’s Choice winner at 8:00 PM ET on Thursday, January 9th, from the Awards stage alongside the rest of the Best of CES winners.  And yes the event will be LiveStreamed as well.

Don’t forget the AirTame crowdfunding campaign still has a few days left.  The closing date is January 17th so you still have some time to be one of the first to own your very own Airtame.
