Founder of Idea.me, Honored with ACQ Award

Juan Pablo CappelloAttorney Juan Pablo Cappello has been acknowledged with the 2013 ACQ Law Awards as the year’s Leading Corporate/M&A Lawyer in Latin America.   Cappello is an entrepreneur, deeply involved in supporting venture capital in Latin America. He was a co-founder of idea.me, Latin America’s first crowdfunding site, and Sauber Energy, a company in Chile focused on creating green energy by resolving the problem of harmonics in the electrical grid.  Cappello recently founded the Private Advising Group, a boutique law firm focused on advising international clients.  Prior to that Cappello was a principal shareholder in the Latin American group of Greenberg Traurig, an international firm with 2,000 lawyers. He was a partner in and director of Patagon.com, which was sold to Banco Santander in a transaction valued at over $750 million.
