The 3rd annual Global Crowdfunding Convention took place in Las Vegas last week. The three day event spanned the spectrum from investment to donations based crowdfunding. Participants came from around the world to talk crowdfunding and the future of this new approach to capital formation.
Headline speakers included Kevin Harrington and Scott McKain while well known crowdfunding executives presented such as Paul Niederer of ASSOB and Ron Suber of Prosper.
The first Global Crowdfunding Convention was held in 2012. The event was founded by Ruth Hedges an early advocate of crowdfunding and one of the leading voices for the JOBS Act that legalized investment crowdfunding.
