Crowdfunding Platform CrowdedRocket Can’t Handle Traffic After Launch

Earlier this week, crowdfunding platform CrowdedRocket launched as a new place for reward-based campaigns. Ubergizmo reports that the website only focuses on startups and helps the fulfillment of non product related gifts. This is to avoid any fraud that plagues other platforms like Indiegogo and Kickstarter. Its mission is actively prepare startups for successful campaigns, which is different from the other platform’s approach to projects.

One of its first campaigns is for a startup called Moodmetric. The company is known for its smart jewelry that is for emotional intelligence and well-being. The jewelry does the following:

• Track your emotional levels: Shows your instant mood level, uses measurements that are shown in a scope curve that provides an online view of your emotional reactions.
• Teaches you how to calm your mind: The relaxation response slows down emotional wear downs that are caused by the mind and body and helps to bring you back into a state of equilibrium.
• Logs Your Emotional Past: This log is a way to see your emotional past and the progress made. It also offers a hourly breakdown of daily emotional load facilitates in finding patterns of events that cause high level of emotion

Unfortunately, within 24-hours of its debut, CrowdedRocket shutdown unexpectedly due to high-level traffic. The platform revealed that it is experiences technical difficulties due to large amounts of views on the website.”We are experiencing heavy traffic. We are working on scaling up. While the platform is currently working to bring its site back up, Moodmetric has also been addressing the issue to potential backers through their social media websites.

The company wrote,”Our campaign partner CrowdedRocket has experienced some technical challenges. Their rocket scientists are working around the clock to get our campaign back into the orbit. We are sorry for this delay and as a compensation we have decided to extend our discount offer till Sunday 21st of December (midnight PT).”
