Barchart, a leading provider of market data and information, announced FinTech Exchange 2015, a new event to highlight technology innovation in financial markets and trading. More than 20 financial technology providers will participate, presenting in rapid-fire rounds that focus on innovations in trading software, market data, exchange technology, analytics, cloud computing, high-speed networking and mobile. The FinTech Exchange 2015 will be held on Thursday, April 23 at 1 p.m. in the Feinberg Theatre at Venue SIX10 in Chicago.
“Whether cloud computing, big data, high-speed networks, or mobile, FinTech companies drive significant change in the way traders and financial markets think about and use technology,” said Mark Haraburda, Managing Director of Barchart. “Yet despite its importance, consumer technologies often co-opt the FinTech discussion. At the same time, Chicago – the home of innovation in the form of futures and options exchanges – is also noticeably missing from the discussion. The FinTech Exchange will insert these overlooked aspects back into the conversation.”
FinTech Exchange 2015 is open to exchanges, proprietary trading firms, hedge funds, brokerage firms, venture capitalists, quants, developers and other FinTech firms.
Barchart has collaborated with FinTEx Chicago to help organize and promote the event. FinTEx Chicago is the city’s first member-driven organization working to expand Chicago’s role as a center of financial technology innovation.
