Cloud Ten Pictures Takes to Indiegogo For the Sequel of Christian Film LEFT BEHIND

Left Behind 2 4Today, Cloud Ten Pictures announced that the second film in the Left Behind series has been green-lighted for wide theatrical distribution. The date of release is dependent on when the film can be completed.
In order to enter the pre-production phase as soon as possible and ensure that the film is released next summer, Cloud Ten Pictures has initiated an Indiegogo campaign to raise $500,000.
LEFT BEHIND producer and CEO of Cloud Ten Pictures, Paul Lalonde, stated:
Left Behind 2“We are living in the last days and if the Rapture were to happen today, there are a lot of people who just aren’t ready. This is why we need to complete the story as soon as possible beginning with LEFT BEHIND 2. But, if we want to keep control of our story, we will once again have to fund the movie independently. We have all seen what happens to Christian, Bible-based stories when the Hollywood studios take control. They change the fundamental meaning of God’s Word and make a mockery of the Christian faith. With the help of campaign supporters we won’t let that happen to LEFT BEHIND 2.
LEFT BEHIND, the first film in the Left Behind Film Project, opened in the U.S. on October 3, 2014. Unlike many Christian films it also was seen by millions of people in over 10 countries around the world including Canada, the UK, Germany, France and China.

LEFT BEHIND 2 picks up where the first movie left off after the day of the Rapture and will closely follow the first book in the New York Times bestselling series. Based on the Bible and published in 32 different languages, the book series, co-authored by Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins, has sold more than 65 million copies and is one of the best-selling fiction series of all time.

Since its launch this morning, the campaign has raised nearly $25,000.
