Sallie Krawcheck: “Crowdfunding is a Place Where Women Led Teams are Doing as Well or Better than Men”

Sallie KrawcheckFormer Citigroup CFO & BofA President of Wealth Management, Sallie Krawcheck was recently chatting up the benefits of gender diversity for corporations on CNBC.  She echoed data that indicates firms that have a diverse leadership team perform better than those which are less so.

As part of her thesis, Krawcheck noted that crowdfunding is generating positive results regarding female entrepreneurs. Something Crowdfund Insider has emphasized in the past. Crowdfunding not only is an efficient mechanism to improve access to capital and democratize investment opportunity – it may also assist in equalizing the economic wealth of those segments of society which remain underserved.

Krawcheck is currently Chair of Ellevate Networks, a global professional women’s network dedicated to the economic engagement of women around the globe.
