VIAFolio is an online debt and equity platform which connects investors, brokers and avisors with private companies seeking funding. Created by Folio Investing and Folio Institutional, the new portal is leading with a debt offering of $10.5 million from DC based Matchbox Food Group LLC. Matchbox is a restaurant company including concept destinations Matchbox, DC-3 and Ted’s Bulletin. The debt offer is for a 10.125% non-convertible subordinated debt with a 7 year term.
“Matchbox will be the first private debt offering on the platform using the Regulation D Rule 506(c) offering exemption, and it is a great example of how an established local company with a strong public profile can use VIA Folio to secure growth capital,” said Blaine McLaughlin, head of Folio’s Private Capital Network. “We invite other established companies to talk with us about using our services.”
VIA Folio will offer private company equity and debt as well as participation in hedge funds, private equity funds, and real estate funds, among other types of private investments to their registered investors.
Matchbox will be using the funds for growth and expansion – specifically opening up new locations.
