This week, Swedish drink brand, Caliente, launched an equity crowdfunding campaign on FundedByMe to raise nearly 3.5 million SEK as it continues its international expansion of its chili-flavored beverages.
Caliente is described as a unique chili-infused premium non-alcoholic drink. The beverage is organic and full of natural flavor. It has already received the “Best Adult Premium Drink” at World Beverage Innovation Awards 2015 (finalist in two other categories) and “Best New Organic Drink” at Nordic Organic Awards.
The company revealed that since launching a year ago it has closed deals with premium distributors in China, Dubai and Denmark. It is stocked in 500 of the edgiest cafés, street food places, eco/premium stores and restaurants throughout Sweden.
Founder and CEO of Caliente, Thomas Adner, stated:
“We’ve dared to meet the growing, global trend of non-alcoholic drinks for adults in new way. Our aim is to be a leading brand within the non-alcoholic premium drinks category. However, we’ll make sure not to overstrain ourselves and have set the aim to be present in a total of six markets in 2016, focusing on urban centers with a high concentration of our target group.”
“We’ve established the baseline to take the next step and grow further and faster. An international expansion has already started. Our goal is to become the world’s premium non-alcoholic beverage, and our mission to get more people to enjoy fun drinks without compromising on taste, health or the environment.”
The campaign will close at the beginning of May.
