On Thursday, the casting crew of Indiegogo alum, Super Troopers 2, announced an update about the film’s progress – which included a very unique items.
Last year, production studio Broken Lizard announced the sequel just 14 years after the first film’s release at the 2001 Sundance Festival. The crew revealed that the movie would only be made IF the Indiegogo campaign completely raised $2 million. Within only a couple of hours, the project captured $1.3 million and then on day two was completely funded. By the end of its time on the global crowdfunding platform, the funding initiative secured $4,560,065. The film will star Jay Chandrasekhar (starring and directing), Paul Soter, Steve Lemme, Erik Stolhanske, and Kevin Heffernan.
Heffernan, who plays the infamous Vermont State Trooper Rod Farva revealed in the latest update that the cast has “re-grown” their mustaches as they prepare to finish shooting this summer. He noted that once everyone is back on set, they have a total of four weeks of shooting to take care of and then they are “in the can.” He also shared to those who received the “extra” reward that he and the team will have some dates for them in the next month.
Meanwhile, a few of the Super Trooper cast mates paid a visit to Cheyenne Mountain Air Force Station. Heffernan stated that the crew were able to conduct attack dog and taser demostrations, along with visits inside the military. See the pictures below.
